We started Sideband with a simple frustration: component data is the connective tissue of every PCB project, yet it’s the part most likely to be locked inside a tool you can’t fully control.
Sideband is a desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux that keeps your symbols, footprints, 3D models and parametric data in one place — and lets you take all of it with you, any time, in open formats.
What it does today
- A unified component library with full-text search across every field.
- A PCB viewer and inventory that stay in sync with your Altium libraries.
- An ODBC connector so Altium reads straight from Sideband.
- LCSC / EasyEDA import to bootstrap parts in seconds.
The one promise
Whatever happens to your subscription, your data is always exportable. No lock-in, no hostage-taking — that contract holds through cancellation.
